Overview
J. Hogan Refrigeration and Mechanical, an experienced and forward-thinking HVAC/R and mechanical
contractor is in search of positively motivated craftspeople to join our team.
We currently have openings for Service Technicians.
This position is full-time (8 hours/day, 5 days/week), year-round, and requires being able to work
independently and with others to successfully complete service work tickets on a variety of heating,
cooling, and refrigeration equipment. After a probationary period, Service Technician will be added to
the on-call rotation and required to be available for 24hrs emergency service for a one-week period,
Friday to Friday during their on-call period. Some overtime is to be expected.
Requirements:
– Prior experience with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment (priority given to
those with commercial and industrial experience)
– A clean driver’s license
– Ability to work outdoors and in inclement weather
– Lift moderately heavy objects
– Work at heights (from ladders and manlifts)
– Be able to communicate with management and customers in a professional and technical
manner
– Other tasks as required
The Service Technician will be responsible for obtaining daily service work tickets from the Service
Manager, and traveling to the worksite in a Company provided vehicle to independently perform the
required duties. Use of a variety of hand tools, electronic diagnosis equipment, and other specialty tools
will be required. Most of our service clients are within a one-hour radius of Peru, NY.
We are looking for candidates with an interest in learning mechanical systems and developing their
skillsets. Candidates with limited prior experience will be considered if they present a willingness to
work as a member of a team and be positive contributors to our company.

Pay is subject to experience and education. Expected hourly rate $30.00-$40.00 per hour.
